BitBonkers is an experimental project designed to visualize Bitcoin transactions in real-time. Every transaction conducted in Bitcoin is represented by a ball dropping onto a flat plate, and it is displayed as a high-quality animation. It can be viewed in any web browser that supports Javascript, which is the language this website is programmed on, and OpenGL which is an API that is responsible for the animations and rendering.
The developers of the project have recommended the Google Chrome browser as it is the most stable thus far. This project is largely unknown and deserves a lot more attention than it receives. It is one of the smoothest real-time visualization projects for any cryptocurrency out there, and does not require extremely powerful hardware to run, as users can choose between 3 levels of visual fidelity (low, high, medium).
There is no download required, and it runs off of the browser. Recently, BitBoinkers was updated to have balls’ sizes proportionate to the amount of the transaction in question, which adds to the illusion. BitBoinkers continues to be updated regularly and is run by one single developer who manages the whole project.
As of now, the project is still in its experimental stage but the regular updates suggest that a stable release is not far away!BitBonkers is a very good tool for cryptocurrency transaction visualization and one that truly helps the viewer realize just the scale at which cryptocurrencies, or specifically Bitcoin are being traded.
